More holidays designed for divorced parents in 2012

February 20, 2012

A holiday company launched in 2006 specifically to cater for divorced and bereaved parents has proved so popular that more hotels and destinations have been added for the 2012 season.

Recognising that many divorced parents find holidays difficult, particularly if their children are quite young and need constant supervision, the company, aptly called Single Parents on Holiday, guarantees a holiday which will be enjoyed by parents and children alike, with a variety of entertainment to suit all ages.

One of the most exciting new additions to the range of beach holidays, winter sports holidays and activity holidays offered by the company is a 4-star hotel on Lake Turrach in southern Austria. In a spectacular Alpine location and surrounded by pine forests, the hotel offers superb facilities, including a spa, a gym and various children’s clubs which are run by qualified staff and cater for children aged 2-12 with a bouncy castle, go-karting and a climbing wall.

The many outdoor activities include archery, fishing, tobogganing, hiking, pony trekking and mountain biking, with particularly exciting options being rafting on the River Mur or riding quad bikes across difficult off-road terrain.

The hotel itself is luxurious, each room having en-suite facilities and a mini-bar, with a choice of indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a sauna, massages and a beauty parlour.

Understanding the problems encountered by divorced parents, one of the most popular features of the holidays is the children’s dining room, which allows single parents to enjoy a meal in adult company without having to worry about their children.
